Many people spend years educating themselves on business, investing, and entrepreneurship. But at the end of the day, knowledge alone won’t make you successful.
It’s taking action and executing on what you’ve learned that leads to results.
This is the core message from MJ Demarco’s book The Millionaire Fastlane. He argues that conventional advice tells us to go to school, get a job, save money, invest in mutual funds, and wait 40 years to retire rich.
Demarco calls this the “Slowlane” to wealth.
Instead, he advocates for the “Fastlane” – building businesses and generating streams of passive income.
This requires less traditional education and more real-world execution.
One business model that embodies the “Fastlane” thinking is affiliate marketing. This leverages the power of the internet to sell other people’s products and get a commission for each sale.
It’s an attractive option because you don’t need your own products or inventory to get started.
The key is taking action and launching your affiliate marketing business as quickly as possible. Get a website up and running, research affiliate programs, and drive traffic through SEO, social media, and paid ads.
Track conversions closely so you know what’s working.
I’m not sure who said this, but always remember that inaction breeds doubt and fear. Action breeds confidence and courage.
Don’t get stuck overanalyzing and preparing.
Take a chance, put yourself out there, and execute.
That’s the only way you will ever get results.
